I had one wonder why it took so long to get from New Market, MD on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay off of US50 to Strasburg, VA on a weekday afternoon. I told him there's this pile of dog poo in the way called Washington DC.

Parked at the Flying J in Wichita Falls, TX. Have an hour and 15 min left on my 70 and I'll recap/reset hours on Sunday. Will sneak over to the Love's tomorrow for a shower. Parked here tonight because I'm craving Wendy's, lmao.

Too bad I'm with the kids. I would have swung by and bought you a meal at the Mexican restaurant down the road.

Low 50's and sunny for the first time in a week. Dropped my trailer for a load out in the morning and bobtailed home. So I got a big check in the mail to deposit but my wife is away in her car, and am in one of the more truck-hostile cities in the area. What's a guy to do for a ride?

Roll out the '49 Panhead chopper I haven't ridden in over a year and see if I can make it to the bank before 1600, of course. She don't like cold, but cooperated with a low effort crank up nonetheless. Took me a couple of stops to regain my hand shift foot clutch coordination LOL. The guy parked next to me at the bank stopped to watch me start it when I got ready to leave. Twisted the throttle once for a fuel prime, turn it over one kick to let it inhale, then turn the key on for a one-kick start. Yeah baby! Even with an audience!

    ;)

It's because of the really strong headwinds on I-66 WB caused by DC sucking so hard.

I thought about giving you a million dollars...

Holy cow...it's...it's quiet here! I mean, I could hear a pin drop on the parking lot outside my rig! Jeez...I'm beside myself. :biggrin_2551:

Quiet may not compute...but it's sure as hell enjoyed.
