Parked Here for the Night

Now sitting on the curb down the street from the East Point, GA Kroger. Too close to appt time to dash home. This trip came together despite the best intentions. Laid over in Richmond for a load that cancelled. Then promptly picked this one up. Get to have half a weekend then got a trip west planned for Monday that ends up in OKC Wed morning. Haven't been out that way in a while.

In fact, I think the last time was when I was at the KW dealer waiting on a repair the day that EF5 hit Moore a year and a half ago. We could see it pass a few miles to the south from the parking lot.

 

home 40 hours before my delivery 25 miles away
then dont go back to CA until Wed or Thurs
oh the pressure

 

We just missed each other.

 

He never showed anybody how, a promise he made my Grandmother. He didn't deal directly with them but they say most of his whiskey ended up in Chicago. I heard he also kept the bank from foreclosing on several farms had a deal with the banker never to tell who paid the notes to save people's pride. Course he paid for his 640 acres to.

Hey FatDaddy.... I took 81 to 78 to 95... thought about calling but it was too early...
Quick stop at WM in Carlisle for groceries, then fuel at FJ.... It was a beautiful sunny day... but freaking freezing burning cold...



Drove about 10 hrs and now parked at TA in RI...



A lot of snow on the ground here.. And they are expecting another major snow storm on Monday....

So, I explained my concerns about the location to receiver and after considering the weather and all, he offered to unload me tomorrow morning... Absolutely YES! And they will have someone at the intersection to stop the traffic so I can make the turn to enter their street...

After empty will rush back to this TA and stay cozy... No preplan yet... Will wait till dsp arrives on Monday... Just hope they get me something going southwest... away from this snow land...

 

Did you say you went to the Walmart in Carlisle? That's place is infamous for kicking out trucks.

 

I saw that Pilot from the road today... looked kinda empty with A LOT of snow on the ground...

But I like this TA better.... and it's only 23 mins from receiver... When I go out have to put on my overalls, and snow boot, and hat to protect my ears.... Shoot... At night, I prefer to take care of everything inside the truck...
