Wow. Surprised you don't know that one... A ricket is a structure that's solely for the purpose of keeping wood organized, dry and off the ground.
In this case, it's a 7x4x2 foot wooden rack. But they come in all shapes and sizes. But, firewood rack works too!

Well... since we are talking about family.... I called my dad today... nothing to do with Valentine's Day for that doesn't exist in Brasil... But because today was his 85th birthday...
The man seems to be as lucid as he has always been and getting better from the surgery...
Told me there has been a dengue epidemic in that region and some people have died... others were able to get better and survived...
I have reached the limit on my trip planning.... nothing much left to plan.... Next step should be to put my plans in to action.
Tomorrow will see folks in my co. and will find out about the FMLA thing...Last edited: Feb 8, 2015

We just stack our wood in Arkansas. 7X4X2 we call it a rick of wood. We saw it and split it where I'm from to. I guess choppin it works to

Speaking of dads and chopping wood. I have some great memories as a kid chopping wood with my dad for his grandpop....my great grandpop.
Actually he chopped my brother and I stacked.....and I seem to remember dreading it.....but looking back I sure do miss it. -
As a youngin choppin wood was great exercise....but as usual old age&treachery trumps youth&inexperience....
which is if course why the good lord invented chain saws&log splitters....

my ex wife is a nurse who worked on an Alzheimer's unit. That and dementia is truely an awful disease for the loved ones. More so than the patients themselves. She used to tell me how they were some of the sweetest people you would meet who are probably happier than is because they have no worries. But for the family it's terrible because I can't imagine anything worse than your own parent not being able to recognize you.Rocks Thanks this.
