    Rocks, maybe the corn I eat is sweet corn and I don't know any better lol. I just thought corn was corn.

    The kernels are bigger on field corn and a lighter more dull yellow than sweet corn. I eat both kinds prefer sweet corn but field corn is easier to get in bulk already off the cob as the combine does that. Field corn makes better bourbon, sweet corn for sour mash. I told y'all a farm boy is good fer sum thin sides lookin perty all the time
     
  6. Nice to see you made it to your Dad's place. Very pleased your company gave you the time off.

    On a side note about the corn. Not all corn here in the states is "sweet" corn or field corn. You can hit up any organic growers, Oregon or Washington State. Come summer, see about some farmers markets.

    Enjoy the warm weather, maybe you can bring some back for the colder spots of the states.

    Hey peterbilt... I have not left the States yet... I am at my "hometown" hotel in TN getting stuff ready... Will leave on 02/23... it's going to be a VERY LOOOOOOONG trip...
    Those pictures were taken during my last trip to Brasil...

    I lived in Oregon once... couldn't find the non sweet corn... :biggrin_25513:maybe I wasn't looking in the right places...

    I have found some other vegetables and roots in the USA that don't taste like the ones in Brasil... like spinach, carrots and yucca root... I guess the weather has a lot to do with it...
