Parked Here for the Night

Welp , now I am parked at a thermo king dealer for who knows how long .
I am really starting to hate reefer! !!!!!!

 

Try dealing with Thermo king at 3 am when you have to wake the on call guy up, lol!

 

Oh yea , no thanks !!!! Lol.
Took the guy 45 mins to get here and I am NOT complaining about that ....

 

It was back when I drove for Stevens. I was hauling an ice cream load to Atlanta and was parked at the TA in Tallulah, LA. Woke up when I noticed the reefer kept cycling into defrost. Got up and checked the temp, instead of -20 it was nearly 36! I called night dispatch and they said to immediately head for Jackson, MS, that they were calling TK and the on call guy would meet me there.

Luckily this was back in the old logging days where you could split your sleeper time anyways you wanted without that 14 hour clock being in the way.

Anyways I book it to Jackson and get to the TK dealer. The guy was just getting there. Didn't look to pleased but oh well. Has me pull into the shop.

Turns out a chunk of ice blocked the drain tube. He got it all cleaned out and back to normal. As I was signing the work order two more trucks pull up with reefer issues. He wasn't getting back to bed anytime soon. I pull out of the shop, parked in the street and finished my nap.

backed in too far by 10 feet

 

We will be parked outside our unload/load in ATL tonight for our 0300 appt...
