The A26 is the same MAN engine as the Maxxforce with updated injection and emission sytems.
And even in the case of the Maxxforce, the engine itself is not bad. It is the injection and emission system they put on it.

 

No that’s the n13. The Navistar 13 with cummins aftertreatment. The a26 was built by VW

Same as the Maxx, same as the N13.

 

There is a new "global" engine coming soon though.

 

The doser can be removed by turning the steering wheels all the way to the left, and then remove the right side inner fender and you can crawl up in there. The doser doesn't have to be unbolted. You can remove the center core which is basically the pintle valve. Just take the fuel line off and unscrew the pintle like a spark plug. That way you don't have to drain the coolant and fight.

The switches in the center dash use the stereo tool, but the switches below the cluster do not come off like that. Cluster has to come out to work on those.
