Yeah, that's why I don't visit family often. Only paid parking is available, and now I have a truck payment that will hand me my ### if I stop for more than a couple days.

If I find me a little hidey hole, I will gladly help other drivers. As far as I'm concerned, we're all one big dysfunctional family. But if you steal my spot when I visit twice a year, I'ma show you what a lil five foot nothing rabid chihuahua looks like. Rawr! ;}~

That's great to hear, I plan on fueling there to knock out part of it, and may just get my beast a bath too. I did find a cheaper place to park that is actually right across the street from my grandparents' house, but, it's not a secured lot, and if I am gonna pay for parking, I'd rather get something out of it. So I'll be buying enough crap at the 49er to validate, and then turning my receipts in to ATBS. I won't have to buy Monster energy drinks for a while, lol.

I had considered parking at the Walmart by my mom's house, but I don't want to get towed or come back out to a boot on my truck. I've heard a lot of them have started doing that. An angle grinder is on the to buy list. ######## need to go pick on someone their own size. I bite! When properly motivated...

If I was leaving a truck parked unattended in Sacramento I'd worry more about pieces being stolen off of it or even the whole truck and trailer going missing. Some of the professional gangs would make an Indy pit crew look slow.
There are some empty warehouse complexes in the Rocklin area and a few in Roseville but I really wouldn't feel safe there either.

Yep got me a place or two. But never use them. 49 works for me.

I've already had things stolen off of my truck, and I only just got it. I was not pleased. Thankfully it was only a $20 item, but yeah, I'm just gonna suck it up and pay for parking for that secured lot. It's a tax write off. I'll just growl about it like a proper trucker, lol.

How long was the last time you were there? I've been parking there for 13 years and it's always been $15.

I was there for a couple days. It's entirely possible someone may have told me wrong and I just believed them and paid it too. That's what I get for not double checking myself. At the time I was irritated because some DM's with my former company will allow drivers to be reimbursed for paid parking now and then as long as it isn't a constant thing. My DM wouldn't, so I bought $50 worth of stuff there to validate my parking, because I will be ###### if I am gonna just pay for parking and not get anything else out of it when so many places will honor that. As a matter of fact, I had some knob tell me that I couldn't stay on the curb where I was at earlier tonight without paying. I wasn't even in an actual freaking spot (there were none available)! I went three miles up the road and found a MUCH better place to park anyway, so ha!

OK ... I misunderstood you. I thought you were paying $50 for just parking, not $50 of merchandise for "free" parking.

It's $15 for parking per 24 hour period, free for 4 hours ... or $50 in merchandise or fuel, I think it's 75 gallons minimum.
