    What if it had been a 4-wheeler's Mercedes side mirror? Not a big deal? Do you think trucks are less expensive?

    I imagine being a driver and not an owner, it's hard to appreciate what scratches or dents do to the value on resale and that it costs $$$ to repair, even if cosmetic.

    Thinking of someone with the OP's mentality is what makes me pop up from the sleeper even when my trailer moves during settling...

    I'm fairly certain that you understand the difference of opinions you've read so far. Truck stop parking accidents are a crap shoot and you're luckier than most. At he end of the day what matters most is that you learned something. This education comes at a cost though. Pro's know it, Rookies sweat it. Pick which one you;re going to be an own it.
