for those who have never pulled a reefer, you have no clue what reefer driver deal with.
Appointments set all over the clock, 3 am or 3pm
And when you get released from the dock, and need a place to park, reserved parking will save your hide in the middle of the night.
It's tax deductible ask your tax guy , and some companies will even reimburse you for it.

Munoz reimburses us the reserved parking fees with no questions asked. Pascual Munoz would rather them be parked legally in a spot at a cost rather than illegally in a potentially dangerous spot.

But, is it just me or are many trucks now "parking on the curb" much more frequently and much earlier, before general parking is full?

I blame this phenomenon on a combination of more lazy drivers and more bad backers and I seriously doubt freeing up paid parking would reduce this problem but I'm sure that's the excuse they will stand behind.

Can't count the number of times I've had to "thread the needle" in the driveway just to find the back line almost completely empty of trucks. Those drovers are welcome to risk their hoods and loads, I'll take a safe, marked parking spot...even if I have to pay for it (grrr!)

The TA in Terrell is notorious. My father in law pulled in once and thought it was full due to all those trucks parked and double parked near the entrance and left. I told him next time drive past.the first three rows. The back two are always open.

In the past few weeks I've noticed SEVERAL pilot/ flying j now have "reserved" parking that didn't use to. Most that park in these spots are o/o or independents that can afford it. To me parking is the most stressful part of the job. Having enough hours to go 2 hours more down the road but having to shut down because you know parking will be full when u get where you're going. And all the #### no parking signs we see everywhere. in my opinion the ban on private rest areas (that major truck stop chains heavily support and lobby to keep in place) needs to be lifted. Would seriously help the parking shortage.

    I can't believe
    1. A driver would be dumb enough to park in a driveway like that risking getting hit and all the associated hassle that would incur
    2. A driver can be that rude and inconsiderate to their fellow trucking community
    3. The truck stop would allow their ingress and egress lanes to the parking area to be reduced in size to barely one truck width
