That's because they live in a perfect world that has unicorns and mermaids and everything just falls into place perfectly at the right time.

if you google the code. you'll have the full interpretation of cali's law.

it says, ALLOWED ONLY IF SPECIFICALLY PERMITED. which means there have to be signs allowing parking.

trucks park on 15 and 80 all the time. never seen anyone hassled yet. 5 must be a love zone or something.

Sounds like the cop had a hair up his rear and just wanted to feel important. When I used to run containers from Dodge City to the Oakland port I would sometimes have to park on a on-ramp to get some rest at 3am since the company I used to be leased onto had me dispatched on tight loads. Never had a problem parking on the I-5.

Sometimes we are just put in an unavoidable bad position. It has been over a year since I had to park on an on/off ramp or dirt area of a rest area but you never know what might pop up.

That was a good shoot, totally justifiable.
Those cops were in fear for their lives while Chris Dorner was out thar on the prowl.
A former police officer himself, Chris knew too much about what goes on behind the
walls at the L.A.P.D. No way they were gonna let him tell his story. Eventually, hundreds of cops,
includin' canine cops and S.W.A.T. teams, had Chris cornered in a cabin up in the high country,
completely surrounded with no escape possible. Unfortunately, on that very day, LA's finest
negotiating team took the day off, and weren't available to de-fuse the situation peacefully.
So the hundreds of officers on scene, ........ lit up the fuse, along with the cabin Chris was hidin' in.
Thirty-seven rounds were discharged by cops within the first few seconds. Hundreds of
projectiles were launched in hopes one of 'em would get lucky and actually hit an intended target.

There was teargas and flash-bangs and cops yellin' through bullhorns for Chris to give up.
    Which he did.
He gave up his life, ...... for a cause.

Used to be a guy could park in a wide gravel spot along the interstates in California. I guess those days are gone.
