That reminds me of the time in Georgia when I was sitting in the bunk and a guy who didnt speak much english backed into my flatbed four times. It didnt damage my trailer because of those big rubber bumpers on the back but when I finally got out of the truck and asked him "what are you doing". He started with "I don't know why shoutig at me you are, I am only driving my truck". I dropped the issue but the longer I laid in bed the madder I got. So during my PTI I dug into my tool box and got the two great big padlocks that I had laying in to bottom and snapped them onto his trailer doors and just before I left I pulled ahead about a foot then backed into him.

I like the P+D drivers that'll pull onto the fuel island to go inside to buy a coffee while I'm waiting to buy fuel. Not pull past the pumps mind you. Had a Fedex driver do this in St. Louis at the QT one day. He came out to his truck and I told him he forgot to buy fuel. I called Fedex and was transfered to his terminal. Most LTL carriers take call ins seriously. I used to hate having old R+Ls number on the back of every trailer. They'll put every call in your file incase they need a reason to fire you in the future. Regarding the messing with equipment. Sounds fun to watch but honestly I don't want anyone bothering my stuff and you know what karma is. Although adding some container seals on a van doesn't damage anything, just makes it a pita to open without bolt cutters. You could always say "hey driver I thought I would insure the security of your trailer while you were shopping"

Frankly, I'm suprised you got a response from the company. I think that shows they might actually care. Try calling one of the big carriers, lip service at best.

I do agree with you 100%.
I have called in on a couple, and got the run around, trying to to talk to some one in Safety.
I've come to the conclsion, they REALLY don't care what thier drivers are doing, just as long as thier cheap as frieght gets to where it's going

It's not possible to park my truck with a trailer in my driveway. I live on a small frontage road so I gotta slightly turn off into the yard. She's kinda mad about the grass though.
