Part time trucker, Owner Operator?

the rates need to come up again but there’s yards and yards full of them. Should pay $2.00 a mile IMO, and it was up around that back during Covid. Now it varies a little depending on the company but my old one is in the $1.60-70 range. There are backhauls and reloads if you know where to look and who to ask and some guys do pretty good with just a power unit. Doing multi-haul with a trailer is a better rate of course.
