This is basically why i stopped sending them my membership fees over ten years ago. They focus all their efforts and resources on bs stuff while letting the really important things go right on by. Fighting elogs when the should have been fighting for hos reform is just the most recent example of this.
Back when i decided i was done with them they were expending all their resources trying to get a bill passed for mandatory fuel surcharge pass through. The guys leasing from swift and Schneider might care about that but for the independents negotiating with a broker its a waste. There is no difference to the independent if you get 1300 linehaul and 200 fsc or if you get 1500. It's still 1500 bucks, plain and simple. The only thing that bill would have done is more paperwork. Its not like the broker is going to be working more for less out of the kindness of his heart, he would simply be keeping more of the linehaul while passing on all of the fsc.

Can't really think of many things OOIDA has done over the years...at least anything that has changed trucking for the better...160,000 current membership at $45 per ...OOIDA is raking in over... $7 million a year
