My truck just started throwing the codes for this. Four days ago these popped up then went away, except the 3031 fmi 9 which went away on its own also after about 20-24 hours.

This morning I started the truck and these three popped back up, same as last time the 1761 fmi 9 and 3364 fmi 9 are intermittent and the 3031 is constant. Really biting my nails on this one.

The way I understand it: They have to have proof that is what’s wrong with the truck. Then they fill out the forms to submit to get you the software when it’s available and they also get you on the backorder list for the sensor. I don’t know the time limit once they notify you that your sensor is in stock at the dealer. I’m sure there’s protocol to follow since this is all going through the EPA but I don’t know the exact steps. All I know for sure is that you need proof you have a faulty sensor.

Kenworth shut down production this week because of parts shortage.

Did they shut plum down or are you talking about the 350 person lay-off? Seems like several people here on TTR have trucks sitting over there waiting. :|

I lucked out. My def quality sensor went kaput early on this year. Dealer said they’re already having issues getting them at the time can only buy 2 def quality sensors a week from the supplier. I had to wait a few days only luckily. I can only imagine how bad it is now since I’m in NJ.

I’m willing to bet it’ll be a temporary bypass when things go back to normal they’ll threaten to void your warranty on the truck if you wait too long.

Around 190k but it’s a mostly city truck I do a lot of NYC and final mile deliveries. I had the mechs tell me it was probably because how I fill the tanks. Learned my lesson first click and done. Don’t wait until some of the def fluid is poking up the spout.
