They still put ya all up in that nasty hotel in Murray, something like Magnolia or Magnolian?? Tried PTL about 5-6 years ago and only lasted one night in that motel, if it weren't for that I would have stayed, kind of liked what PTL was offering and where it looked like the company was heading. The night I checked in there were bullet casings laying on the ground outside the office and along the walkway to the room were several used syringes, the room its self was trashed, chips and pretzels all over the floor bed was unmade, lady at the office insisted it was just cleaned and after arguing she finally had it redone. It still reeked of body odor and pizz so bad, they didn't apologize just said, "that's all the rooms we have available, never had any complaints before." Talked to the guy at PTL and got basically the same attitude, said they wouldn't split the cost of another hotel with me so I left. I have often thought of trying to go back but not in that motel.

You forgot the bed bugs I saw the same thing started to go home also just manned up and stayed. Put in my year and now looking for something else talked to a lot of other truckers to find out all mega carriers are about the same. If it is not the hotel its the FOOD,PAY,HOMETIME,TOO MANY MILES,NOT ENOUGH MILES,YOUR DISPATCHER WITH THAT BEING SAID TRUCKING IS JUST TRUCKING

I hear ya....hard to find the perfect fit when it comes to trucking, over the past 20+ years I have come to realize there all about the same when it comes to home time, miles and etc. you just have to try to find one that comes fairly close to what is the top most important for you and just try to ride out the rest. When it comes to motels I have been put up in some really nice accommodations for orientations, I probably have only been put in two or three like the above mentioned. In that case my health and safety always come first.

I was looking at the lease programs at all the companies the numbers don't add up unless u get the truck in the end. So I'm thinking .44-.50 cpm as a company driver is about the same pay and a lot safer

I dare someone to find a worse hotel than the company-owned one CR England sticks you in up around Burns Harbor/Gary Indiana after you finish the school part. The one right next to a strip club (which you're not allowed in or you're fired...lol)...
I've been homeless and stayed in some real dumps before, but even I was like "Well ####..."
