The one on 495 is at a terrible location if you are in the proper lane to stay on 95 and there is any amount of traffic. If you know it is there, and stay on the right it's OK. I've never been inspected there, but have blown by it several times. I HAVE seen chase cars out on the road, only once, and that was a day I went in.

I dont have a beef with Em.I have with my own eyes seen them jump from behind bushes on Salisbury bypass onto the road to flag a speeder down and almost caused a massive wreck and seen them stand on the white line in the highway to issue tickets in a 55 mph zone and seen the dot jump on the steps of big trucks and ride Em into the scales.I've never had a problem in Maryland or va but I've heard from my own brother who's a been trucking for 40yrs that va was the worse. Got jailed 2times in 1 day and lost his refridgerated load along with it.I guess when you have 3 different licenses and a fine that stuff happens. Also my license is +points.Last edited: Jan 8, 2012

You mean the MD state police that jump out in front of speeders with their hand out on interstates? The ones that when their officer is subsequently killed doing something so stupid, the female driver is arrested and charged with manslaughter? The entire MD state police and especially the management are bunch of morons for setting stupid policy or following it. How about the time MD pulled over 50+ trucks at the same time on the shoulder of 301 to do level 1 inspections. That was safe. MD wouldn't know what safety is if it smacked them in the face. It is all about money, there is no other logical answer.

I run thru there all time. Wher did they pull 50 some trucks on 301 the south side or north.i havnt seen them jump out and point anyone over the last few years. I use to see that on rt 50 by the big bridge years ago, but that seems to be just cars that were flying. I do not now about their policys but they have stopped me a few tmes and i never had no problems. clean inspection evry time.

Most of the driver's I have stopped after they passed a weigh station had the same thing to say. Most told me they didn't really think someone would come and get them. Granted I don't work near a scale everyday, but I get near them every now and again.

PA doesn't like when drivers bypass their scales... I was on I80 and was getting ready to merge on 80 again after going through the scales and the bear flew by me after a Prime truck that didn't feel like stopping. Chased him down to the next exit where I got off and the cop was already at the driver's door.

I used to cross a certain set of scales in Louisiana at the Texas line 4 or 5 times a day. Its amazing what a few platelunches and a birthday card will get you. After that the nice lady would warn me on my way to get loaded that she was gonna weigh me on my way back. The rest of the time I'd load the wagon. She knew I got paid by the ton and cut me alot of slack.

It's been a few years now, and 50 trucks was a low number, and it was going North.

This one and the one on I-394 and US 30 south of Chicago I've run so many times it's not funny. What a PITA....
