I'd go with the company that pays practical miles versus that HHG BS and has a terminal closest to your house. An APU or relaxed idle policy is a must too.
Definately an APU. Wolding and Shugel says I would be based out of Florida and can take truck home. Not sure of TransAm's policy on taking trucks home BUT they are setup for driver comfort ... pay sucks but I will be comfortable. Stevens requires company drivers to drop trucks at a secured lot during home time. I am sure Knight wants thier truck at the terminal and not sure of Abeline's policy. Only reason Knight is on the list is because they have the terminal in Lakeland about 45 minutea from me.
If your driveway is large enough to accommodate a tractor and trailer that might work. Otherwise you might have to leave the trailer at a truck stop and who knows if the company will allow that. Just something to keep in mind.
Right on bro! Hopefully they can get you only doing the offset right or left and alley dock. I dunno why they implement parallel parking for a semi truck....I mean maybe somewhere you do it, but I haven't heard too much about it! 320 hours is a lot too. I only got 160. You get a job pretty quick I'm assuming
