I have been reading every thread on TMC i can find. The funny thing is that even the guys who left because of things they didnt like, still say its a great company to at least learn flatbed with.
I look forward to reading more of your updates Farva.

I feel very lucky having decided to go w/ TMC right off the street. Will I make a career w/ them as a company driver; 100% no. If I stay w/ TMC it would have to be as an O/O (buying a truck from somebody else other than TMC) so I can have a dog w/ me out here OTR.

Last weeks check was $2100, so not all that bad.

Is it perfect? No...but I don't think you'll be able to find a better mega to start with (and then move on from) than TMC.

8 months in and checks are still good. Just wish my truck was faster.

I just talked to a recruiter. I asked a couple question that she either wasnt sure about or wasnt clear about when it comes to amenities. I was wondering about XM, DirectTV and refrigerators. Now, she said XM is installed but didnt know about if drivers had to get the service. She said DirectTV price changed with driver performance but didnt want to give me a range. And she said that we could have a refrigerator installed, but we had to buy iy from TMC but didnt give me a price. The only one that is a big deal to me is the fridge so i dont have to eat out all the time, but if anyone can answer these for me i would appreciate it.

XM comes standard in all trucks.

Direct TV is about $3 / week on avg.

You can purchase a fridge from anywhere but has to be less than 3.1 cubic feet and cannot be installed inside of the cabinet. Has to sit on the floor. The shop does not install them for you. Just plug in and go.

Thanks man. Anyone know how it is for experienced drivers? Like do I get to skip all the classroom stuff? Recruiter said I do but I don't wanna get my hopes up. If I do is math hard? Lol hate math
