A folding passenger seat with or without a storage box under it used to be an option on a lot of vintage trucks. My ‘72 White 4000 had one. Bottom folded up you could stand on floor and walk out the passenger door. Then that option disappeared as every seat needed to be air ride.

All of the company trucks at the last company I worked for only had air ride seats on the drivers side. Cheap ########. My wife liked to ride with me every now and then but she couldn't stand the jarring from that stationary seat.

My first company truck was a 2014 Kenworth T660, and I took out the passenger seat (with the approval and assistance of our mechanic) to put in a fridge. That seat was mounted on top of the battery box, and I strapped the fridge to the box. Worked great.

Can u remove the seat base piece in it Bc the service guy said I shouldn’t I have a 1997 freightliner FLD120 if y’all know and what do u mount the strap too wen stealing down the mini fridge also? And lastly this is off subject but if y’all know will a straight shifter help the shifting move forward Bc my stock shifter is way to far back hen I shift the back gears toward the shifter so can’t find answers anywhere lol
