Honestly, that area has been under construction for EVER! Are they ever going to finish that?

OOO i bow down to you, supertrucker, give you hero worship for your specialized hauling and offer you my firstborn child as sacrifice for my innocence:biggrin_25525: Honestly though, being on I-80 in illinois near chicago, yes it seems like there is alot of speeding trucks, containers mostly, but we all know what/who comes with the container traffic and i do not throw you into that category.

For the record, there were no workers present when this crash happened. The truck on the hook was from a "mega" but not one of the "usual suspects." In other words, not Swift, JB, Werner or Covenant.

It appeared to me it was just one truck trying to pass another in a section of road that was too narrow to accomplish it.

Seems like all construction zones are going this route two lanes with just a couple inches on each side to miss ripping your mirrors off

Somebody would have to physically force me off the road cuz I'm not gonna swerve to miss ya

I drove through that area right after the truck that was rolled over went off the road. I believe that is the driver that didn't make it. The other truck that they were removing went off the road long after the first wreck. Iowa just left the first one there until they could close the road down to remove the truck from the ditch. At the spot these trucks are going off the road there is an entrance ramp that dumps out onto the interstate with no shoulder. My guess is that the traffic entering on that ramp are not yielding and just pulling out in front of people. From what I have heard there have been 4 different trucks go off the road in the same spot in the last two weeks. Maybe Iowa should take the hint and set up the construction zone a little better. A "Trucks Use Left Lane" sign would help to keep the trucks out of that right lane away from the edge of the road and the get on ramp, but i don't know, there seems to be a lot of drivers out there now that don't know how to read.
