I have found that running a little slower than all the traffic around me in heavy congestion areas will get me through the congestion just as quickly as racing along as fast as the truck will go. And it saves my brakes while lowering my stress level. Y'all can keep racing by, if that's what you want to do. I'll sit back, and enjoy my ride.

Yes sir !! -
Tell ya what slick you keep on rolling that 80K truck with the "FLOW" you will be cleaning your undies out if you ever get in a tight just remember that truck your driving has drum brakes they do not stop real good esp if they are allready heated up from repeated stabs at them.
You say you don't look away from the road surface when in traffic ? Boy oh boy, your head/eyes ought to be moving all the time .
otherhalftw Thanks this. -
And why would I be jabbing on my brakes while going with the flow in the center? Good luck with your hot brakes in the right lane.
-
But you said people still cut you off even in the center lane...you just plow them under, or do you apply brakes to avoid the collision? You can't have it both ways! Well, then again, you are a liberal so I guess you are accustomed to having it which ever way applies to the last sentence, not the whole discussion.

In CA your only allowed out of the right in a few instances, Necessary for a interchange to get onto the correct highway, passing a slower vehicle, emergency workers on the shoulder, where marked and to make a left turn.
The time limit on passing another vehicle is 1 mile, approaching a interchange is 1.25 miles.
You can get a ticket in CA for being out of the right lane anywhere and it does not have to be posted right lane only.
BS maybe, as far as car entering the highway you do nothing, maintain your speed and let them get around you.
Camping in the center or left lane is just plain rude.Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
Your absolutely correct, it has some side affects, like improving your following distance, which means your not constantly on your brakes. Certainly decrease the stress level in your cab as well......
-
You are absoluty CORRECT, Except on a 4 lane freeway(GOING ONE DIRECTION) one can use the #3 lane(from the center) and stay on it without being in violation, but this is what we are talking bout drivers using that lane to cruise on when you should be in the #4 lane(slow lane) and let everyone use the passing lane(#3) to pass SAFELY. But you have the "NEW GENERATION DRIVERS" whining that it's ok to stay there (#3). Now, if there is a 3 lane freeway and you stay in the middle lane (#2 of 3 lanes), they will get you in Ca., if they catch you. You must return to the #3 lane(slow lane) after passing.
-
Central VAlley, Fresno and North they will write you for being in the #3 lane. I5 and 99.
-
I'm a liberal? Wow! That must have to been some good lsd to fry your brain that badly. So your tips to new drivers include "look at bewbies" and drive like an idiot as slow as possible. Tell another one.
Oh, and if you were capable of paying attention, I already addressed that center lane question.
Oh ####, was that you making yet another assumption?
