Yeah, but it doesn't hurt to reminisce about when people acted like human beings. LMAO

You are correct on that one...even today I can't let my pants ride down to the crease between butt and thigh...besides my "ding-a-ling would flop out...well maybe a few years ago anyway!:biggrin_25521:

I got one. It's a $192 for being in the third lane. I was empty doing a tad above 55mph. When the lights came on behind me, I thought he nailed me for speeding.

I negotiated with the officer in court to turn it into a parking ticket (which he did), but that parking ticket cost a lot more than the out-of-lane. But, to California, out-of-lane is a moving violation. So, poor if you do, ###### if you don't.

Pretty much poor either way. Speaking of ######, I was cruising along in the right lane today on a mostly empty 4 lane with median. Nice day. Came up on a ramp with a couple cars getting on, moved over to the left and slowed a little. Noticed the green minivan in the lead getting on had a re-tard in a white pickup tailgating him and knew what was coming. That's right. From the entrance lane straight across to right in front me. If I wasn't already off the throttle with the jake on and my foot hovering over the brake pedal, I'd have sent his stupid ### into orbit. I laid on the brakes, horn, and one finger salute while he floored it, having realized how dead he almost was, and took off. No doubt jabbering to his idiot friend on the other end of his fascinating cell phone conversation about what a horrible menace truckers are.

I seems to be a growing problem. I think it is partly due to the lack of proper training!

The way I see trucks have a far more difficult job at keeping you alive, because of the lack of assistance from the 4 wheelers. For the most part they do a dam fine job...

Lesson learned: I've never had a ticket that I didn't deserve.

Fact: Get a good scanner so you know what's happening around you. Knowledge is power that gives you the ability to do what you gotta do.

Fact: Times have changed and trucking just ain't what it used to be. When was the last time you got on the CB and asked all those WB'rs what it looked like them or asked if the EB scales were open? Chances are you didn't get an answer. No one looks out for anyone because they can hardly look out for themselves.

Sad fact: Most of today's drivers don't drive because they want to, they drive because that's the only job they could land or hold on to. It shows by the way they treat other drivers, the equipment they drive and the way they conduct themselves while on the road. That said, I always try to stay to the right. Regardless of the posted speed limit, I drive with the flow of traffic within reason. I don't have any problems passing some knucklehead road king on the right and when two of them are running side by side, I'll just move into the left lane and go around them and be done with it. Why? Because I pay attention and always know what's happening around me, I always know where any and all the nearby cops are and loaded or not, if I wanna go around someone, chances are pretty good that I'm going to do just that....Like I said, times have changed. The roads today are full of hypocrites.

I believe that on the 400 itself there are a number of low bridges south of Barrie. There are numerous signs that instruct drivers to take the center lane.

All Good Kids Like Milk, acronym for the Smith system for defensive driving
A - Aim high in driving(get a 360 degree picture around your vehicle)
G - Get the BIG picture (see everything around you)
K - Keep your eyes moving (know your surroundings)
L - Leave yourself an out (always have a plan of where to go)
M - Make them(other drivers and pedestrians) see you

Anyone know how much of a difference what lane you're in makes in terms of MPG?
