They are as slow a molasses in winter...They try to get as much mileage out as possible by driving 45 MPH (or less) on interstates...and state highways...

Well probably, since most trucks nowdays have mirrors on the hoods that make it possible to see little MG's like that. Anyway it's just not a big deal if someone passes me on the right.

All the fast trucks or large cars wants everyone to obey the signs posted like, slower traffic use right lane. In most areas where there are 3 to 4 lanes of traffic the speed limit is between 55 to 65 mph. So if I'm doing the speed limit in the middle lane and one of these large cars is breaking the speed limit and demands that I move over because the law is "slower traffic stay right". By the speed limit law I am not the slow moving traffic as stated but the speeder is the one breaking the law. I always like to point out to these left lane runners that they have a line of four wheelers trying to get around and move over to the right because now your the slow traffic. And you always get the come back on the CB from them something like "scre@ them four wheelers" showing how self centered these drivers really are. They're from the "me" generation. I feel so sorry for them.

I agree...but in Cali....Even if someone is speeding or exceeding the "Basic Speed Law"...ie., "Don't drive faster than it's safe..." If you are driving at the safe speed and refuse to yield....You will be cited for

    • Failure to yield....and
    • Impeding traffic.....
    Seems absurd.....but that's Cali......

I try not to ride beside anyone.... Blowing a tire bothers me and will bother them if I am beside them. Don't like tail gating either, fact is... I drive at night most of the time so i don't have to drive with anyone.... LOL

If you read your post again, you will figure it out. It states slower traffic stay right, not slow traffic. So, if your going slower than another person you are the slower traffic and should move over. Regardless if you are doing the speed limit. NOTE: SLOWER TRAFFIC, NOT SLOW TRAFFIC.

In primarily urban areas with many ramps, I would rather not be in the no. 1 lane. This avoids collisions with amateurs who aren't confident with proper yielding. Plus, it wastes too much fuel to be slowing down and speeding up constantly every time I am forced to yield for a car that is too rushed to yield. Also, I will often "read" the ramp traffic ahead and signal to get over, but no one will allow me that in traffic. Even when doing the posted speed or a little higher I am unable to safely change lanes because of the streams of blatant, rediculous cars speeding and ignoring everyone else's needs. Respect follows respect; but where does it begin?

I really like to train A-holes like you. Maybe if you worked for a well managed outfit, you wouldn't need to rush so hard. Can't wait for fuel to hit $4 again so people like you will stay home.
