I've been running the center lane 5-10 over the limit and still get tailgated all to hell. I've run it up to 80mph and held it for a while just to see and, sure enough, I still get tailgated all to hell. I don't care anymore and neither do the cops. I run the center lane and if you've got the balls to pass me while I'm speeding, you better have the balls to hit that restricted left lane too. I do. Did it twice yesterday with the big restricted sign on the right and a cop sitting right across from it. Cops did nothing, as usual.

Hey, I'm in the center lane. That's to the right of the fast lane. So I am following the slower traffic stay right signs. Don't like it? There's the left lane, wide open, just for you.

Now i don't know about the TN drivers handbook, but this is the first I have heard of this one. But isn't that hypocrisy?

And also the ones possibly causing some road rage from other truckers and 4 wheelers!

Aljay and Diesel Dave Thank this.

What? I'm trying not to get run over by these lunatics. Maybe you can reach into your great bag of wisdom and tell me why in the hell I would endanger my truck and everyone around me just to get out of the way of some ###### who wants to drive 75 in a 55. Go ahead.

*ahem* Mr. Diesel Dave: I said nothing about me blocking traffic. However, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me for me to move over because someone is on my tail when the guy in front of me is actually the one holding things up. You will note, I hope, that I merely said I will not get upset if I have to follow someone else through town.

We all had to start somewhere. Just because someone else has less experience than I do or runs for a less than palatable company...I just don't let it bother me. I'm almost always going faster than right lane traffic through town. Therefore, I remain in the left of granny in most cases.

The original thread starter was a four-wheeler driver who had a beef with how we conduct ourselves in his town. Luckily, I will never have to drive on roads with him, so he will not have the opportunity to develop road rage against me.

Unless you are a log truck driver or firefighter/engineer, you will not understand the reference to that single-lane gravel road with water sloshing around in your truck and you are in a huge hurry so the forest and someones house don't burn down. There are other experiences in life that prepare us to drive these trucks.

Please don't roll your eyes at me unless you've been there.

    Cheers!

    johnday and otherhalftw Thank this.
