What if you actually have Sleep Apnea? You wouldn't want to get it treated?

Get a DOT physical for cdl school, then hire on with a company that doesn't require another DOT physical; they will accept your cdl school physical.

Drivers run in to the sleep apnea problem when they take that second physical with a doctor the trucking company uses.

Yes it's a scam, the AMA is on an insidious quest to get money out of Truck Drivers....

Having a medical issue isn't a scam and wasn't implied as such. The way its handled by many trucking companies and doctors is absolutely a scam.

Guess what. The doc just happens to be in the network that does the testing.

 

Those that are built like a fireplug have issues too. I have had a 20 inch neck ever since high school

Schneider passed people that were 350 or better.
Their physical is the classic cattle walk, and you fill out your own sleep apnea paperwork. So you could go there.
The better way is to take care of yourself, and lose the weight, it will benefit you all the way around.
