I'm a firm believer in DRL/daytime headlamp use. My daughters car is a Chevy HHR and has automatic headlamps. I leave the headlamp switch on in my Camry and it automatically turns them off when the door is opened and the key is turned off and turns them on when I fire up the car.

The Volvo headlamp switch operates the same way. If turned all the way on it will kill the lights when the ignition is off. Volvo cars are the same way. SAAB cars are the same way as well as Hyundais.

 

At the risk of being called limp-wristed... She's not my type. I'm not saying that cause the fiancee is looking over my shoulder, since she isn't, but that's not at all my type of gal.

My s10 has automatic lights. About the only control I have is if I want them bright or not. Heh.
