I agree with the daylight head lights for cars, But if someone can't see a 13'6" tall 65' long 8'6" wide object going down the road in the middle of the day? they need to be wearing glasses, or not driving at all

All the same, I keep my headlights on. There's quite a few people in my honest opinion who don't need to be driving cars anyways, and it isn't because they are blind. ...just too stupid to pay attention.

You all may not agree with that, but I'm keeping my lights on during the day. Period.

I never worry about the roads, I don't worry about my load, my trailer, my truck... I worry about the idiots.

Well......Being you are in a Prostar there is a switch on the left side of the steering wheel....For the headlights and DRL's...
    It will blink either way.
All the Petes had drivers assigned already so I had a choice of a KW with a million+ miles or this ProStar with a Cummins..
I picked the ProStar because the sleeper layout was perfect for my flat screen TV,Microwave and fridge. And it had 350k on it.
When the next round of new trucks come in I may pick one of those.

high beams during day time is ok.

if you never drive with lites on ,how about in the rain?

I hope you all turn them on, when it's wet.

seen too many out there who I pass and then can't see afterwards.

or who are passing me,(rare, lol), and I don't know it,as they are hidden in the spray.

Volvo's have a headlamp interrupt switch as part of the steering wheel controls package, headlamp and marker interrupt on the left, radio and phone controls on the right

Yes...lights always on in the rain.
Sunny and dry days I really see no need on the open highway.

Don't you love when silver cars run in the rain with no lights? You pass them and can't see them at all in the spray...

It's always the 4-wheelers that are the color of the pavement or blend in well with terrible weather that don't run with their lights on. ...there's days I wished I could hand out tickets like the police should. I'm not afraid to get wet; I'm not made of sugar in the least.

I disagree with not wanting to have DRL's, and here is why.

I used to travel on 50/301 in Maryland/Delaware and going either north or south bound, near an area that once had "The Dutch Inn Deli", all that road way is lined with trees. There are actually signs posted (or were since it's been about 10 + years now since I have been thru there), where the signs say, "HEADLIGHTS MUST BE ON".

In the brightest of all days, you simply cannot see oncoming traffic, motorcycles, etc, etc.

I do believe that there is a highway that cuts thru the desert, in either Arizona, or New Mexico, or even in California, where in the brightest of all sunny days, headlights are used.

Now it seems to me also, that no one really understands the DRL's, and how they are used. Your headlights are not on full power, not even your high beams. They are on at or about "half power", just enough for oncoming traffic to see you, which is why those lights last a long time.

As long as MY truck, or ANY vehicle I drive had them? GOOD for me. I worry NOT about how many headlights I see coming towards me, and by the way, Motorcycle headlights IIRC, are full power, NOT DRL's. But since I no longer ride bikes myself, a motorcycle aficionado can enlighten ALL of us on the brightness of bike headlights.

    1. Sorry, I don't flash. Your on your own.
    2. Drivers do this because if you give a 4wheeler a chance they will get in there. No one likes to be behind the big truck. It aint right but its reality. Some do it because I dont flash. Who cares tbough? You didn't hit me while trying to come over and I didn't have to cancel cruise so whatever.
    3. I have no idea why you worry about what others are doing. You cannot control what others do. Again, as long as it doesnt affect me, I'm cool.
    4. Turtles are cool. Tasty too. Just don't get caught with the turtle shell jewelry when you travel to the US islands.
    5. Looks like number 2, 3, and 4.
