Basically it is 2 cpm for miles, and another 2 cpm on Gold+ bonuses.
Another very good raise, in my opinion, after the one last year.
With both, that is a 20% increase.
It is welcome by me, and at the right time.
My child support just doubled last month from $90 per week to $190.
Luckily for me they didn't re-evaluate it this month, or it would be even higher.
Pay raise rumors?

uh more like drivers refusing to work for trash pay is getting critical
what oh what is CR England gonna do lolClamhammer and MidwestResident Thank this. -
O O are saying rates are dropping, so I think driver pay will be cut.
mje Thanks this. -
There are no big raises. Everyone is hiring. More companies are paying sign on bonuses. Things are looking a little better for drivers.....just a little though. I don't see pay going down for company drivers, but I think you will see companies bumping up the pay slowly as there is strong demand for them. If trucking companies were desperate to get more drivers you would see bigger pay increases than what we are seeing now. I do not know how the o/o are doing.
how many job offers are you getting as graduating student? That tells you how strong the demand is for drivers.mje Thanks this. -
There will always be a pool of people to draw from to train and place into truck driving jobs:
1) unemployed people, especially those who have been out of work for a long stretch of time
2) part-time workers who cannot find full time work - some working several part-time jobs trying to earn full time wages
3) fully employed people who have been working in LOW WAGE jobs for any length of time
4) convicted felons who cannot find jobs - there are trucking companies that will hire them
5) retirees who have difficulty living on Social Security but can still pass the physical
6) discharged veterans from the military - SADLY & UNFORTUNATELY, there are veterans with "LESS THAN HONORABLE" discharges who need these jobs
7) immigrants who can provide a job history
8) dock workers and "lumpers" biding their time waiting to get into a school to become truck drivers
9) people who are being forced off of welfare and food stamp rolls - many states are tightening up on their restrictionsLast edited: May 5, 2015
Clamhammer and Toomanybikes Thank this. -
I have come across men who are paying as much as $2,000 a month or $24,000 a year in child support and alimony payments.
HOPEFULLY these men are earning enough money to also take care of their own needs.
HOLY MOSES!
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
No body forces anyone to work in this industry, the real problem for all of us is this >>> it is too easy to get the cdl while driving is getting easier and easier so we end up with sub-par drivers who think that they deserve money as steering wheel holders and nothing more but complain as if they are the best drivers in the world.

What I underlined.
I know you were making a statement on the overall standards, etc, in this industry.
And this IS NOT your fault, that I DO NOT like the word, BEST.
From my many years in this industry, or hey in fact any other industry, my personal opinion is that, there is NO Best, only "better" than someone else.
I think the word BEST is used too much to describe someone that (to me) is just better than someone else.
Best, (to me) conjures up extreme perfection, and frankly, no one will ever be perfect.
Best, (to me) means no faults, no imperfections.
Best (to me) makes me think of robots on an assembly line, that are perfect in every way, making no mistakes.
I'd put dollars (if I had some to spare), up to someone that calls himself the best, and I can guarantee you, I'll find him/her imperfect.
My take on "best" -
I understand where you are coming from but as it seems to be more of a use of a word in common language, and I used it as an indicator of above normal performance - that said ...
the problem is we have a lack of professionalism within this industry with the expectation that earning a cdl is not just something that is earned but rather a God given right to possess. People expect the big bucks, they feel because they drove for a year or two they deserve high pay but when you come down to it, shouldn't it be earned with higher standards and a degree of professionalism?
I experience sub-par and crap drivers everyday, I have to worry more about the can hauler running me off the road than I do the 17 year old texting on her phone behind me, why should I have to even worry about the other guy in my profession at all? -
Trucking Companies are begging for drivers here in Detroit.....
Just write your own check... LOL
