Just FYI, stayed at the Pilot in San Diego last week - over 90% of the trucks there did not idle there. Kind of nice and quiet. It was about 46F at night so the APU was running. But even the clean idle trucks didn't run...

 

TA in Madison, WI has big sign " NO IDLING ". Not sure what the law says about clean air idle but going to look it up.

 

Ok city of Madidon, WI only has the no idling. Nothing says you can idle with clean air so don't think it will keep you out if a ticket.

 

yeah, i am a former cop in NJ, believe me, sticker or not you'll get a ticket. Now that I'm laid off from that line of employment, i'll be starting my new career here as soon as I finish my CDL School. I don't like to comment much on a trucker website, because i'm not a trucker, but I was a cop so I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents.
