From what I've been seeing, new driver pay is comparable to the 10+ year vets

For a new driver that's home 1-2 days a week that's gonna be hard to see. I take home $800 - $1100 a week and gross between $1200 and $1600 a week but im not home that often

If everybody keeps driving for less than 1k a week, there will always be jobs that pay under a 1k a week

OK I dont know who you are nor do I really care, but what is your problem with me?

You follow all my posts and complain about them and try to compare your husbands experiance with mine.

Now for the miles had you read the WHOLE sentance instead of reading just want you wanted so you could find somthing else to complain about, you would see thats on weeks when I dont touch furniture.

And I'm sure you'll get allot of W/S drivers to reply here seeing as though it NOT in the W/S section.....(note the dripping sarcasm)

Sounds like its a industry issue then. Because any "professional" career makes at least 30K/yr and thats at 40hr a week. If I'm logging close to 70hrs a week 5-6 days a week and not counting living out of the truck and unlogged time expecting minimally a grand a week should be the norm.

I enjoy the job but to dedicate my life to trucking 5-6 days per week I would have to make more than 30k/yr. Time to get more experience and find a local union driving gig.

Amen. The question is how long is it going to take to improve.. If your willing to dedicate 90% of your time to any career you should be paid accordingly. Settling for these low paying jobs even if its the lifestyle you choose is to allow them to keep pounding weight on our backs. Even if you like carrying the weight your spine can only take so much.

Whats it going to take for a quality change? Imagine if everyone joined forces and just stopped. Seeing/hearing about trucking issues would be wiser time spent than discussing charlie sheen and whos going to be the new aflac duck.

WaWa ,I guess thats about all this rant is good for.:biggrin_25513:
