Are you 1099?
-
There's no statute that says an employer must offer direct deposit. Most do but some still issue a paper check every week.
Ztrucker17 Thanks this. -
Yes I am

1099 completely changes the rules as you're considered an independent contractor and technically not an employee. Just keep very thorough and detailed records

Of course it's legal to wire you your money. Why is everyone so suspicious of everything?
-
Well iv just never heard of it .....the company I pull for dose a lot of things iv never heard of an the way they go about things makes me wonder ...iv drove for a few company's an not a signal one dose stuff like this company dose ...its like there backward at what they do ....but thank you for the info I do apprecate it a lot ...I'm always tryn to keep my mind open an that's why I came here looking for anwsers

In the last few years more and more customers have offered to wire money instead of send check. I guess it may be the new trend. Unless you see something blatantly illegal you're none the wiser and not doing anything wrong.MrEd and Ztrucker17 Thank this.

I've heard of companies that will put your pay on your fuel card so you can access it at a truck stop like a cash advance. I hope by wiring it, OP doesn't mean Western Union. That sure wouldn't be the most cost effective method. Western Union is expensive!

You're an owner operator (truck and trailer, or do you pull their trailer?) working for a company. Did you sign an operating contract? Did you READ the operating contract
You get the feeling that this company may be shady. What else, besides wiring your pay makes you feel that way? How long do you wait after delivery do you want for the money? How long has this company been in business? How many trucks run under their authority? Do they have any assets? Trucks, trailers, properties...etc?
