If you don't pay, it will end up on your credit report.
How much is the loan? After you go to the new job, they may be more willing to negotiate the weekly payment. Also, you won't get fired from your next job over this, sounds like those companies that say they'll take away your CDL if you leave their company lol.pattyj Thanks this. -

Bottom line did you sign a contract? Do you owe the company for training?
If yes well PAY your bills your a adult nothing is free. Grow up pay what you owe and move on -
OK, like everyone is saying you should pay off the loan.
That being said, this is typically an unsecured loan like a credit card. Simply take the better job and pay what you can until it's paid off. This is not an employment contract in that the old company can sue the new for poaching. It's simply a loan with a non-monetary repayment option.
Worst case scenario is in a few years they may sue you, get the judge to demand payment. A couple years later they will sue again to get garnishment on your check to get the money. It's really no big deal.
Take the good job and worry about the money later. And before other poster jump on me, yes the op should pay back the loan, but he should not feel like he has to be a slave to these unethical bottom feeding CDL mills.scottied67 Thanks this. -
