Some advocate huh?
I can only go by what is posted. You're probably right. I would like to think the company isn't that brain dead to not put in stipulations for repayment beyond " you owe me, pay me!!!"
But again, can only go with the information given.

I didn't read the whole thing so you can take your swings if you want. First the guy wants to pay, he realizes he has an obligation and he's willing to pay for his mistake he just doesn't want to be an indentured servant. Most if not all of these contracts are right up there with predatory lenders, they know you're in bad spot or undereducated or whatever, and they use it to their full advantage. That said they will take what you give them, they are not obligated to but they will, they in most cases will not pursue wage garnishment if you're paying something on it. OK batter up

Appreciate that.
Let me clear up some terminology. I used the term "remedies," as opposed to rights. By remedies I mean that they can file a lawsuit, get a judgment, garnish wages, etc., just like the original creditor. -
Not seeing the contract we don't know what is stated in contract. Maybe they are taking $200 a week while he works.
The bottom line is he signed up and took and used there services to get CDL. Whether it's predatory or not it is what he signed up for. If it is predatory well he shoulda researched what he was getting into better. Bottom line he owes he has to pay. -
He agrees he owes, that was never in dispute. It's pretty easy for you to say well if it's predatory too bad, I'm confident that you're perfect and never made a mistake in your life that required you to ask for advice, some understanding or intervention. I think the kids got a pretty big set to come on here and ask for help, I don't think he needs a bunch of ####### telling him he owes the money, he already knows that. Batter up!

I will agree with you that it takes a pretty big set to come on here and ask for help breaching his contract, especially considering that many of us on here were in the same situation and kept our word and fulfilled our obligations.
And no, "something better came along" is not a legitimate reason to not fulfill his obligations.Pnwtrucker Thanks this. -
100% agree
-
and many did not fulfill their obligation, and yes a better deal came along is a very valid reason, the company, any company would not hesitate to terminate you if there was loss of business. It's not personal, he's gonna pay, but give me the choice between providing a better future for me and my family, I guess you know the answer.
-
How do you know the other option is better? He took the company's time and effort to gets license man up and pay what he owes
alghazi Thanks this. -
Honestly I feel for him. But he used them and doesn't wanna pay. I honestly hope they go after him and get what they deserve plus some.
alghazi Thanks this.
