What do you do when you don't receive a payment during 45 days?
I inquired about it nine days ago. I was informed the payment will go out on the day I called. At this point, they want me to believe it's in transit for nine days. I don't know if they don't want to pay or it is lost at this point. But even with the inclement weather it doesn't take nine days to arrive.

File a claim on their bond. You’ll get it pretty quickly. It may be worth one more call though. Sometimes it really is a mistake and a bond claim can piss off an honest broker. However, if it’s clear they are just giving the run around then file it and get your money.
feldsforever, GYPSY65, clausland and 3 others Thank this. -
Call and tell them you will file on bond?

Not to be funny but the mail has been ridiculously slow. I would give it like two weeks from when they said they mailed it. And sometimes things really do get lost in the mail.
I have to say though it is kind of suspicious that it suddenly was going out on the day that you called. I do think sometimes businesses hold their payables until you actually inquire about it and then they do send them.
When you get set up try to get set up with direct deposit if they offer that. That way there is no getting lost in the mail.
If you get your pay but it was really slow if you ever work for them again try to get on a quick pay if they offer that.Vitkouski, 86scotty, Beaver9 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yup, it took 2 weeks for me to get a check from Houston to my place in TN. Give them a few more days because the US mail is terrible now.

With the postal service bleeding cash. They're probably cutting back. And not as fast these days.
Their mail forwarding system is really stupid. Mine comes to the post office. Then goes 500 miles to get forward stamp. Then back to post office before coming to my house.
If that isn't a piss poor way to run a business.
I'm really surprised they still exist. -
Put everyone you can on ACH, the postal service is awful. I know some people don't trust ACH for some reason, but I do. I've never had a problem in 25 years of using it for all sorts of things.
Some of my favorite small brokers aren't set up though. Sometimes you've just got to wait.feldsforever, Beaver9 and 77fib77 Thank this. -
Do you move it to another account ritght after it clears?Beaver9 Thanks this.
-
Some of it, not all of it, I do have two accounts. I don't see why people are worried about companies being able to take money back out of their accounts. If they did this, which I've never had happen, there would be a paper trail and you would easily win.

Lol. I bet you LS has the right to do it and I don't have two accounts. I have three, but the LS goes into my personal account and I spend out if it.
SBA and PPP money live in sperate accounts. I need a fourth for LS money.feldsforever and Beaver9 Thank this.
