If your business account is hacked and drained a paper trail will not save you. A business account is not the same as a personal account.
When TQL was hacked I got rid of all ACH and I am check only now.
30 days gets a inquisitive email sent......45 days gets a nasty email sent. Any more that that and we are done working together forever.
Or...if the 30 or 45 day emails get nor response...I go right to their insurance agency and start the process. No questions asked. If you are such a puke vomit pile of crap that you can't simply respond to a email then you don't deserve to make a single penny off of my labor ever ever ever again....zero exceptions.
"Oh our AP/billing person was on vacation"......tough crap!
"Oh our owner just died"........tough crap!
"Oh I never got the email".....(I forward the email as proof that I had sent it).....tough crap!
The one good thing I can say is that in 7 years this has only happened 2 or 3 times. 99% of the time I get a quick response, and acceptable answer, and a check soon arrives.Vitkouski, feldsforever, Beaver9 and 2 others Thank this. -
How do you file bond?

I should add that these days I don't even think about it until 40 days.
It seems just far too many don't come in under 30 so I just roll with it. -
As a carrier and broker I’ll say on the broker side we pay at 21 days in order to have a 30 day score. On the carrier side we check in at 30 days and depending on the response may check in at 35 to 40 days. At 45 day again depends on response well either expect payment or file on the surety. 60 days it’s surety no matter what. It rarely gets to that though. Most all are 30 to 35 days.
86scotty and Mattflat362 Thank this. -
Have you hauled for them in the past?
If so. Did they pay?
I used to haul cars before switching to flatbed and I had a few that never paid on time and some big accounts were 90 days but they always paid and always paid me more for the loads we took
If it’s a good relationship or can be then I would work that angle
As mentioned. Piss them off and they’ll find a new truck but you don’t want to give away $$ either
This also depends on how much they owe.
Piss them off for a few hundred or $10,000 ?77fib77 Thanks this. -
How can you all live that long with out a check? I'm two days from payday and pinching pennies.
