I use ADP have for about 14 yrs. Never one single issue except maybe pay checks being late maybe 3 times over that span.

What is the typical cost associated with a company like Paychex or ADP, for a one man operation?

Most CPAs will also do payroll taxes, there might be a small extra monthly fee. Will be cheaper than ADP.

Paychex is a good baseline to know if someone is too expensive.
