As crudely as it was put, I do have to agree with Western here. You made the choice to stay there after they told you some shady stuff. At the very least you can take it for a learning experience. Personally, I would have walked right out of that orientation. You are making that company lots of money yet seeing much less of it than you would at another company, basically rewarding them for lying to you. Sure you are getting lots of miles, but wouldn't you rather make more money for less work, not to mention being a part of a company where you actually feel like they care.

    I agree with Western too.

A Man's word is his bond. If I tell you I am going to do something, I do it. If I tell you I will be there, I will be there. If I agree to tarp a load, I tarp the load.

If I agree to work for a certain rate, don't think for 1 second that I will work for 1 cent less. Like the working girls say, "Cheap service isn't good and good service isn't cheap."

Kenny, look at it as getting an education. Education is expensive sometimes.
Most companies see drivers as a resource to be used...and sometimes exploited...to increase their profit margins.

They're not all like that and it takes a while to figure out the good ones from the bad.
Take your lumps, learn from this, and go on.
    Best of luck to you.
