If a customer is late and does not honor their appointment time, and you run out of 14 hour clock: Is it legal to use personal conveyance to travel from where you are waiting to go to the door, and then use PC once again to go to the nearest safe parking after the load or unload? And if not, what are you supposed to do if the situation does not allow you to crawl under 5mph?

Of course it's log falsification.
You can use yard move and still be legal.Tb0n3, VIDEODROME and Accidental Trucker Thank this. -

Right. How far from the dock is he.
I can crawl under 5mph with no issues
I'd crawl at 1mph if need be -
But it would be legal to use yard move (on duty) after your 14 hour clock has expired and not be in violation.
Remember, you can work as much as you wish after your 14 hours, you just can't drive after your 14 hours, at least on public highways.
This is private property. Hence the yard move distinction.kylefitzy, Tb0n3, Suspect Zero and 1 other person Thank this. -
He asked what is legal. The only legal thing to do at that point is to do a yard move and take the hit on resetting your 10 hour clock. It sucks, but it is what it is.Studebaker Hawk, flood and Tb0n3 Thank this. -

Of course that does leave the option of breaking the law. It's up to the driver to gauge the risk of doing that.Tb0n3 Thanks this. -
As far as move.. depends how far from the dock you are located. As it was stated above, you can crawl under 5, or yard mode. But seriously, SSB is the best option I've come across so far.Tb0n3 Thanks this.
