I like a little controversy, I think they oughta let the guy say what he wants to say, maybe I'm a drama queen... er... king...... hahaha

Anyway, I've got maybe 75,000 miles on my stage 1 tune in my BXS w/o any problems. IF I decide to stay on the road my next move is FASS and PDI standard manifold. At .5 MPG improvement the ROI will be 6 months. It's a no brainer. When fuel gets back to 4 bucks it will be even quicker return.

I asked a million questions of PDI, in person, when they tuned the truck. One of the answers I pried outta them was that the tune added 5 degrees of timing, not 8 as stated earlier in the thread. I'm curious where the 17% figure comes from. But maybe they were telling me something to get me to shut up? LOL

I have friends running Full Tilt and Bully Dog products with great success. I chose PDI because of the reviews in this forum and the price.

no not at all when they (epa enforced) went to the 120 pin ecm they (cat) cut the timing by 8 percent,it would be wrong if you didnt at least go to 8 %,certain companies generate hp bye adv the timing, and not naturally building, for sake of arguement .....there is an easy way and a right way,I think you start with fuel delivery increace fuel lines from #5 to number 8,and a fass sytem then i would begin with ecm change to 70 pin, removal of actuaters, that is the best start, then a timing gear, exhaust manifold jet coated to keep temps from the engine compartment,ie...wiring,then i would go bw turbo and when you have the engine broke down next run an advanced cam, with the power comes responsibility i would generate a good foundation for this power and compliment it with a solid clutch with a punched flywheel, new crank ballancer, and dampener, that in my opinion would be a ballanced built well, and not rushed.
    be blessed
