Any o/o teams work peak holiday freight? Looking to contract with a company for a few weeks for my team. Any recommendations? Or would I be better off pulling from load boards? First Holiday season.

This time of year is a good time for food plants. Should have signed up a month ago.

Why do anything different than you usually do? If it's peak season there will just be more of it.

Check with your insurance on drop and hook first.
Seems like there's solid work on the boards everywhere I go these days. I don't worry about a shortage, I just get tired of trying to negotiate decent rates.FoolsErrand, TexasTruckin19 and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
Food plants are producing and shipping like crazy for the holiday meals.
As also mentioned, fedex and ups and amazon and walmart for Xmas packages.
For starters.TexasTruckin19 and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
Every year I get a ton of emails looking for teams to haul mail from brokers. Maybe that’s an option.

All the hauling has been done in the summer.
SOme of our stores are already got christmas trees, stuff up already. They have been shipping that in for weeks. Now that its finished there is going to be some dead time in the holiday time. All my life the time period between about 12th Nov (After black friday) until Jan 4th is just not worth it. I generally go home if possible and stay there.TexasTruckin19 Thanks this.
