Not all.
It's all about language. Most don't say "pending". They usually refer to "outstanding" or "unresolved."
We had one try to sneak in under the radar with trafficking and manufacturing charges on him. Made it to day 3 of orientation.
In the original posters case though. I honestly believe he would be okay. Since it has been resolved to a degree of satisfaction for the courts at this time.
But, I'm with GasHauler on this one. I would tell them about it. That way it's out there, and done with. The "current" situation is not enough to keep him from getting a job.

I agree that I would not try to hide it. The charge doesn't sound that bad on the surface, but then I don't know all the details. It is always better to be upfront. If it is a problem, it would be better to find out before going to orientation. The hiring company might want to see a copy of any paperwork concerning the charges before making a decision. Most of the time a misdemeanor is not a problem. The do scrutinize felonies a little closer. Most carriers won't even talk with you for at least 5-10 years after a felony conviction. Some won't hire anyone with a felony conviction. If it is drug related it may still be a problem after 10 years.

In any event, when you talk with a recruiter you need to be concise, not wordy, and not go into all sorts of back-stories and minute details. Give the recruiter the bottom line summary: you have a class 'c' misdemeanor for tresspassing on posted land during hunting season and that the charge will be dropped in one year if you do not repeat the same offense. Write down exactly what you are going to say, so that you don't go off on a tangent when talking on the phone.
If you try and go into too much detail with the recruiter, it will muddy the waters and make things confusing for the person listening to you. If the recruiter wants more details, s/he will ask specific questions as a followup. Your job is NOT to anticipate what the recruiter wants to know, but to honestly answer any questions posed to you. -
Pending???
OK, have you ever heard of Murphy's Law?
What's going to happen as soon as you get hired and say this company has a thing about ANY offences or a misdemeanor or felony. You're in the truck, the court will decide to get you to court. Then you have to get home and companies would rather get you home these days when THEY think you need to be home not when you want/need to be!
Well you'll HAVE to tell them you need to get to court for a trial you "forgot" to mention to them, then if/when you lose and said company fires you and puts on that DAC you lied/falsified an application (which we know you might not have, you just didn't mention due to a technical reading of the application such as CONVICTED not pending) on a crime. This is where some advice I've seen can hurt not help you in this decision! There are times in life to be litteral and others where you just have to do the "right" thing! This is one of them!
Another thing that they "might" have a problem with even though it is a "trespassing" charge when it comes out that you had a "weapon" it could move this into a different dimension as some people are just freaking morons when it comes to a "weapons" deal! I know, I've seen it happen because of a morons libtard leanings! Hunting is way different BUT there are some people you can't teach even when beating their heads against the sky or a wall! Like some idiots idea a semi automatic is an assualt weapon even if it's actually a hunting rifle! It's a miricale we can still buy a BB gun!
I would not apply with a company that has a NO criminal policy. You will come out on the short end of the stick on this. Murphy's law says so! I'd wait until after this "problem" in your life is finished then put in for a driving job.
And this year when you head to the woods, watch the freaking trees for paint and signs! 2 times for the same charge is telling a few of us that you have a small problem. You are not paying attention to your surroundings, reading signs that can save you a pot of money, keep tickets out of your pocket, court time and even save one of our lives! Are you really sure you want into trucking when warning signs of all sizes and that give information that could keep you safe is a big and major part of your everyday life? -
well i dnt have to apear in court for the charge to be droped.ive cleared that up already.and when i was trespassing i didnt have any guns with me.and the land i was on wasnt posted or no signs of any sort.the trucking company im talking to now said they dont care about hunting charges, hell the recruter told me he baits deer him self.and i wasnt baiting deer to shoot em anyways,i just had a corn pile in frnt of my camra to stop em for a pic.this land meets my farm and the deer travel across this land b4 coming into my pasture.

LMAO...makes sense now.
BTW, don't try this in MS. All private property is considered posted, with or without signs. -

Why not wait until it's finalized? We are talking criminal charges, so it's not like it will take the 10 years a civil court takes...
