Apparently, it's still a go. Here's the latest and a proposed route. I don't mean to be insensitive to their cause, these are usually dealt with today as "disruptions in our society" and rarely have a good outcome. I suppose the motto there is, "If you ain't got nothin', you have nothin' to lose". They will be singing that song in the prison lunch line,,while some NON-striker, with a pre-emission , non-ELD tractor, and chain drive wallet, hauls their load for cash. Like farmers, one goes under, his buddies are all over his stuff like vultures. Sorry, as much as it pains me to say, you just can't win today. You want 70's again? Are you sure?

I certainly wouldn't want to take that chance. As angry as these protesters are, I think law enforcement has just as much tension build up and are probably even more so sick of what's going these last couple of years. After the Capitol Building invasion, I can't imagine that it will take much to make these officers go off.

I could sure use some mean tweets, and $3 fuel right now. I for one am thankful for these people, and especially the truckers that have the ability to do so.

That’s what I’ve been telling people who’ve asked me about it.

You need only spend a little time reading here to see plenty of that division. You have the bull haulers, the can haulers, the white Volvos, the track suit and shower shoe idiots, the lazy union prima donnas that infest a certain other site, etc...

There isn’t much those tribes are going to agree on.

Besides, how many trucks in this convoy are not owner ops? My guess would be very few.

I think their wasting they time & fuel..Their convoy is going to fall on deaf ears if they get to DC..
If they were really serious about this they would of done it in unison with the Canadian truckers
But they choose to sit back and see how it played out in Canada..now their are little late to the party. Putin stole the spotlight and all the media's attention.. I don't belive I would be going to DC to protest without a solid cause..
I sure wouldn't be going there right now anyway with things being as unstable as they are and extra security that probably have a itchy trigger fingers anyway after Jan 6th of last year and Putin knocking on the front door of the White House
There's 2 kinds of people in this world ..
There are leaders and there are followers
This so called convoy are followers in my opion.opinion.. I don't much respect for these sheep

Now our gooberment has a nice little plan to follow for punishing rabble rousers who step out of line.

--------and meanwhile, shoppers are finding more and more empty shelves.

Yesterday before Keri left to board a weird repositioning flight headed to DFW she and I went to a local grocery store. We had a list of almost 30 items. We left with around 20. Management on duty told me to come back EARLY Monday maybe they will get a truck in. This person showed me a cell phone photo taken they said on Thursday. Almost an entire row at their primary distribution center was almost empty! I don't think this convoy will do anything earth-shaking. What I do hope is they can bring some attention to the basics of what drives this nation's economy. >>>>>>>TRANSPORTATION<<<<<<<<<.

We also have to GET BACK TO WORK! The damage done to the US and the rest of the world because of Covid is massive. Supply shortages are everywhere.

I agree. I bet every single driver in this convoy is an owner op. Most company guys/gals would probably get fired for participating in something like this. I read what many drivers who have been out here longer than me say. They talk about how people made a statement in the 60s and 70s. It's truly remarkable. Many folks protested in those times and they had a real cause in my opinion....I'm going off track a bit here, but they protested to make the world better. All these people who are protesting nowadays are just beefing up a social media page. I feel like everyone now has benefited so much from what so many people have fought for over the years, it seems like it's better. I wouldn't have wanted to live in those years. When these people go out here and protest, are they trying to make society better, or just their own cause? I wish i could understand why so many people are so angry at everything. Everything has to become a debate/argument rather than a conversation. I blame social media.
