I don't know anything about Coke other than Philly. Coke is undergoing a lot of changes right known.

About 1.5 years ago. Most of the sideloaders were autos, the grocery/bulk trucks were all 10sp. We were all working in the same areas, when I got a permanent route assignment I was grocery. 10sp wasn't a big deal. Like a car it's not something you actively think about while driving you just do it. Only time I ever though about it was when I was trying to stuff my face while driving.

With Pepsi, your typical day is usually 8 to 12 hours long depending on number of stops and case count. The earlier you start, the better. The reason being is most stores will be already stocked, and all you have to do is rotate the product and move on to the next store. Most times your load gets loaded the night before, and you go around to each bay writing down stops. You re about to enter busy season where case counts range from 450 to as much as 700 cases. I was a salesman who rode with my driver. We worked as a team, and I ordered the store as we stocked

Its hourly plus commission. It depends on the amount of cases you deliver.
