If there was no income cap on Social Security (and all income was subject) not only would the fund never go broke, but benefits could be substantially raised and retirement would be earlier.

That’s how much money the the top one-tenth of one percent gets away with by not paying a fair share. They call it capital gains. And the income cap is about $120k.

You go broke. They buy entire countries.

There is a limit that can be received so there should be a limit on what is stolen.

I’ll take the per Diem any day. I have little faith in the government managing my retirement money, so I worry about my own investing. And like was mentioned earlier, if you actually save the extra money you’re getting tax free then you will have money to make purchases. Maybe actually save up $20-30k or more for a down payment, then your pay stub won’t matter as much. Or pay for a car instead of borrowing money to buy one.

This new tax bill is a bad deal for company drivers no matter how some of you attempt to think it's a good deal

This is a different type of per diem. If you are getting cash above your normal pay, of course that's a great deal. But if you're getting mega carrier McDonald's per diem, don't bother.
