Per Hour vs Per Mile

    Sorry if I misunderstood you and the OP. Unfortunately most new jobs in Las Vegas are minimum wage but there are a few good jobs there, I had one. When we moved there in 1990 you could look in the sunday paper and see 125 new housing developments each with other 100 units in them and when we left in 2001 there were still 135. It's the fastest growing city in the nation. The bad thing is if you or I would have bought property back when it was really cheap we'd both be substantially richer. They say there's 4000 -5000 people moving there a MONTH. With that comes all the problems that are now starting to catch up with the area. They're running out of water, the infrastructure can not handle the increase and so on. So property taxes have doubled then doubled again and again. We left because it's just not a good place to raise a family. I'd much rather be we you are in a nice home town where you know your neighbor.
