I would never take that deal. I net more than $1.05 per mile after all expenses except my personal salary. I agree with spyder on this one.
-
When being paid mileage, all loads are average. When being paid percentage, it's up to you, but you can beat the average.

Yes they are legit. They will help you and guide you every step along the way. In fact if they know of a better deal on something, they will tell you about it and leave the decision to you. Good people there, always willing and able to answer any and every questions you may have.

I would take percentage over milage any day.
I have several guys leased to me on percentage.
One is 85 % plus 100 % fuel surcharge, runs under his own authority.
he volunteers to work most weekends some and he usually brings home 2400-3000 weekly after fuel, company 15% and 150 trailer a week deduction. The miles he runs is usually 1800
I have another guy who gets 75% plus 100% fuel surcharge who runs under my authority
he does not work many weekends and usually brings back 1500-2000 after fuel, company % and trailer deductions and runs up to about 1500 miles a week.
you see we don`t work too hard and we run over a 3 state area
I have always thought mileage is a bad idea for the guy who owns the truck. -
.....what states are those?
Good numbers -
we run mainly Va,Sc,and NC but he does like to run out to Houston or Dallas Texas sometimes, maybe once every 2 or 3 months
-
Any chance of making that kind of money around here. Central NJ?
-
I don`t know about Jersey,we don`t go up there
there was some loads from north of Charlotte going up there at about 1500 I think -
That sounds about right....my friend usually does the nj to tx route
