If we, as a company driver, contract to drive for a percentage of the load, do we have the right to look at the paperwork, to make sure we're not being cheated?

You will probably have to take employer to court if they don’t share those with you.

If leased, yes. As a company driver no. But I would absolutely show them the truth in leasing regulation in its redacted form as if it applied to you.

They can photoshop the rate con.
Real easy to change numbers around and then send it to you.2rescuekids Thanks this. -
I work for percentage, every week I get a spreadsheet with my pay invoice that shows what load pays and what my percentage is. I'm a company driver at 32 percent. Wouldn't have it any other way.2rescuekids, cke and ‘Olhand Thank this.

You get a spreadsheet or a rate con from the customer?

Up North of the border there are tons of companies (90%) offering paid percentages. The Majority are scammers and manipulate the numbers when freight rates are down regarding the rate con. A good Majority will even tell a potential new hire lease on's that they 'Don't share rate cons' enticing the sucker pool. Sad but true tricks in order of gypping drvers.
2rescuekids and cke Thank this. -
I get a spread sheet, I already know what it pays. We're a small company, there's no secrets. I know all the regular customers and if we do anything local it's by the hour and the driver keeps track of hours.
