Percentage Pay Question

ahhh yeah, there’s no lies in a small company….

 

Oh there's a few I'm sure . But I haven't had a problem with my earnings yet , I'm happy with what I make and they let me run like I want. Been here since 2009 .

I would trust swift before I trusted a small company when it goes to something that is so easily fabricated for a person who has no idea what lanes actually pay.

 

Are they hiring?

 

Is % of Linehaul pay a scam I think it is.

 

While I understand your sentiment…there are very few if any 30+ year old small companies in existence that pay % and lie to their drivers,,,They’d be long gone by now….Now that I’m semi retired and basically part time…,Just like the other 10 hands here….I know what a load pays before the truck owner does and I say yeah or nay
So it does work…. in more cases than you might think
It’s just you never hear about it,,,,,since they’re never really hiring

% of linehaul pay….just means only paying % off actual line rate w/out accessorsls…which are including in rate con…such as fuel surcharge..,lumper/pallet fees etc

 

I get paid a percentage but I see the rate confirmation and the entire email chain between my dispatcher and the broker or the customer, or I book it myself and the company signs off. If you find an honest company short of being paid hourly with OT and for all of your time it’s the best way, I have found. I also own my truck and trailer though, so I can bounce if they are trying to ######## me.

 

Nope. We really don't have any turn over. Unless one of us old guys kick the bucket.
