Percentage pay...

    If the company you lease on to agrees from the start to give you the original rate confirmation before you even move your truck, I'd say give it a shot but if they beat around the bush it's a no no. They are going to cut you short on your part of the %.
    It's not easy but their are still some honest people out there worth giving a chance.

    A lot of people have very very thin vague idea of what 1099 is consist of and most of them have no idea.

    Good point, Express 12$, I've been paid on trucking company W2 since 2010. Turned down some nice rides because they were 10 99.

    With all of the computerology they use against us, don't you think a 10 99 job with no truck payments /expenses is a huge red flag during tax time? And If the truck owner assigns you a load and then pays you a pre-determined fixed rate, then you are an employee not an independent contractor?
