Yeah, that's why I think it was pretty clever. I don't think you could do that with wreckers, they kinda like having outriggers down when lifting off the side.

Maybe others know more. But I'm not seeing a 256k load. Gross combination maybe. Not enough pics for much comments.

I see no reason why a capable wrecker service couldn't move it.

The ability to walk along side supporting the load as it moves is what I had in mind. Maybe wreckers could do that as well, but lifting over the side without outriggers down and driving could be a problem?

I am sure there were other ways to handle the situation.

I wouldnt advise it. But two good operators can do it. Keep legs out and off the ground a few inches. Move very slow. Let them move together and dont shock load anything.

Again, what I would or have done isn't what I'd recommend to others.

Seen 290k moved with two rotators on the same side. I said seen. They were much more experienced than me.

Donahue Bros is about 4 miles from me, they are a train derailment company. Those side booms can get right up beside of the trailer and walk with it if need be. A big rotator truck is pretty much planted in one spot when the outriggers are on the ground….
